Kyle XY Ep 110 Review

About
Endgame
A couple, David and Julie Peterson, who claim to be Kyle's biological parents, show up at the hospital to take Kyle home with them.

The Good?
I like that Kyle wanted more proof than the appearances of his parents, more of a "feeling".

The parents' convenient excuses to Kyle's questions.

Josh's God dilemma while in church.

Again, Lori and Declan scenes were great.

L: That's hideous logic
D: But accurate.

Return of Josh's alien theory!

Kyle's gift to Amanda was really sweet. And again they're in the tub!

Foss = Kyle's saint. Aww!

I love Declan so much. Him knowing that Kyle was keeping secrets from his was great.

Poor Hilary and Amanda...

"No goodbyes." aww. And Amanda's face just before she hugs him...

Declan being "all this sensitive crap" lol.

Josh: "I liked you better as an alien"
Teehee!

The goodbye was sweet.

Kyle left Declan some clues - yay!

So Adam is alive...

I would hardly call Kyle a failed experiment.

I know they explained why Nicole was coping so well, but it still felt weird...

How did they happen to find two people who look so similar to Kyle to be substitute parents? I know the DNA match has to be a setup, but its still odd.

Brilliant season final to a fantastic show! I can't wait until I get my hands on the second season.

Overheard
After Tom Foss' warning in the forest, Kyle decides to give up his search for his past, but with coaxing by Nicole and a new-found extraordinary talent of super hearing and the ability to read lips, he decides to go back to his search.

The Good?
Josh thinking that Hilary wants him. Suuuure.

Kyle's "super" abilities.

Stephen being all concerned and fatherly.

Lori jumping to conclusions about Declan and Hilary. And then him telling her to trust him awww...

Amanda and Kyle on the merry-go-round. Then his seizure - eep!

Kyle XY Ep 108 Review

Memory Serves
Kyle is becoming desperate for information about his past and everyone in the Trager family is taking notice.

The Good?
Kyle's fit during the hypnosis session was really well done.

I really liked the scenes with Kyle, Lori and Declan.

The fact that Kyle's determination to know the truth won out above everything else.

I love how Josh's alien theory is proving more and more true every episode.

Return of the Foss! (the real honest Foss, not the fake lying Foss).

The Bad?
Later when Nicole slowed down Kyle's babbling it didn't really sound like his voice speaking. But I guess it was slowed down.

The Ugly?

Did the professors assistant really not know anything?

Overall
I love Declan, Lori and Kyle, so it was a good episode for me.

Kyle Got Game
Troubled by Kyle’s vivid nightmares, Nicole continues searching for the man in Kyle’s dreams and the possible link this man may have to the body found in the woods.

The Good?
Kyle's 'calculated' basketball shot was awesome! And then his miss as Amanda walked away - aww!

"That's the kizzle dizzle!" Josh is such a dork sometimes.

Josh taking bets on the game and later trying to guilt trip Stephen.

Lori's feud with Hilary is starting to get hilarious.

Kyle being concerned at having butterflies in his stomach. Then "Too bad she's (the coaches grandma) not playing."

Kyle sticking up for Declan when he was injured.

Lori and Hilary's reunion. Kyle and Declan being friends.

The Bad?
I didn't find what the coach did very realistic. Most schools would sack a coach that would put winning before the well-being of a player.

When my mother asked if I would like to go scalloping with her and my grandparents at some beach they had read about, I thought why not, it's a beach and it's summer - what's the worst that could happen?

Well...

After an excruciatingly long car trip in which my grandmother must have babbled for at least an hour straight, we finally arrive at this beach in the middle of nowhere (seriously, I don't even know what suburb you would call it). Naturally, it was raining, despite the fact that it is meant to be summer here, and rather windy as well. But no, that wasn't going to stop us, so we put on our warm clothing and soldiered on.

This beach also happened to be the longest bloody beach I had ever seen. Took us probably atleast 15mins just to reach ankle height. And halfway through we all abandoned our shoes as the sand was so muddy we kept on losing them.

We then finally reached the water to find that it was warmer than the surrounding air was. Of course.

After another 30 mins of searching through murking water we finally gave up and trundled back to the car to dry off and warm up.

And what did we get from the whole experience?

Not a single bloody scallop.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age Review

The Good?
The camera shots, the sets, the acting and the costumes were absolutely stunning, in fact, the whole of the film was beautifully shot. The attempted assassination scene was definitely the highlight of the film for me.

I really enjoyed the plot line of Elizabeth's virginity being her biggest downfall in court.

The Bad?
Some scenes just didn't feel right, especially with some of the scenes where Elizabeth freaked out over events. Nothing against Kate Blanchett's acting, I think it was more a case of me finding it hard to see where the character was coming from.

As me and my mum aren't the greatest of historians, we were a bit unsure of the general plot and more specifically - who was betraying who. In fact, I spent the entire film expecting Raleigh to have ulterior motives, when in fact he did not. Odd.

The Ugly?
The beheading (while fantastically done) literally had be gasping in my seat.

Overall
A great film for those that enjoy their history, otherwise it's worth a watch just for the beautiful camera work and costumes.

Back To The Start

A video of the relationship between Luke and Lorelai in season 7 (and that final scene of season 6) backwards. Literally going back to the start.

I thought this song really suited the relationship, with all of the heartache they went through in the last season. And then I had the idea of playing the clips backwards, and it all just flowed from there.

This was probably the quickest video I've made to date, and I have a funny feeling that it will remain that way. Somehow it all fell into place very quickly.

Blame It On The Rain
When the rain comes in everyone is cooped up inside and secrets start to come out. After a rough night of nightmares, Kyle is troubled about his lack of knowledge and begins to wonder if he will ever find out who he really is.

The Good?
Kyle's attempt at trying to cheer Lori up after telling her she's celebrating one year closer to death.

Kyle FINALLY getting frustrated over his lack of memory. And later FINALLY snapping at Josh over his alien theories.

Lori and Declan being "sort of" friends. And then later actually bonding and really becoming friends. And that hug...

Kyle wallowing in the tub, and then Amanda wallowing with him. Awww!

The freak lightening strike was creepy!

Lori and Nicole's conversation - "Are you shrinking me?"

The moment where Kyle and Foss "meet".

Nicole and Stephen discussing Lori's lack of virginity was a good touch.

Lori offering to share her birthday.

Kyle should be a weather man. Tee hee!

The Bad?
The Ouija board scene was a bit weird for me. A little too convenient a way to introduce the number 781227.

Nuffin' much...

A really good episode, especially since they are finally starting to develop Kyle's character a little more personality-wise.
