The Bucket List Review

+about. Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die. trailer//imdb//official

+my opinion. This movie was completely different to what I expected it to be, but it was still really enjoyable. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman were both fantastic, and I expected nothing less from them. It was a little less funny than I expected, and it spent more time on them in the hospital and less on them completing the actual bucket list tasks than I expected. It was a heartwarming tale though, and I'll even admit that I started bawling when he //SPOILER ALERT// crossed off kissing the world's most beautiful girl after meeting his granddaughter //END SPOILER ALERT//. The whole film brought up some very interesting topics, and I especially loved the irony in the fact that Morgan Freeman's character had a firm faith in God (after playing The Almighty One in Bruce & Evan Almighty).

+recommendation. A good film to take your parents or grandparents to, I'm thinking.

+quote of the film. Edward Cole: You're shitting me. Carter Chambers: No, the cats beat me to it!
