+episode summary. After losing her virginity to Ricky Underwood at band camp, Amy Juergens discovers that she's pregnant. As Amy contends with her family life, and struggles to come to terms with her pregnancy, she seeks solace from her friends, Lauren and Madison. Meanwhile, Grace Bowman, the most popular girl at school, promises abstinence to her parents.
+my thoughts. An interesting start, I think. A pretty good episode for a pilot, managed to work in number of storylines without making the episode seemed crowded. I really like the idea for the show, most importantly taking a very Average Joe character and making her pregnant, and I can't wait to see what happens as her secret unravels. I also really liked the new school counselor, and can't wait to see how he handles the school, and what changes he will bring about. Ben and Amy were sweet, falling in love so quickly. The plan to make Ben fall in love with Amy and convince him that it is his baby is a bit far-fetched, but then again they are only fifteen and are way too young to be handling this.
I don't have much to say about the pilot episode as I don't think there is really all that much to say. In future I plan on blogging my thoughts as I watch each episode. Overall, I think the pilot has showed a lot of potential and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!
